Steve joined the private crime department of CWD in June 2015, bringing with him almost 30 years’ experience in defending those investigated and prosecuted for the most serious offences, many of which have attracted national and international media coverage.
The majority of Steve’s work is as a result of personal recommendations from both existing and former clients, their families, as well as other members of the legal profession. Leading Queens Counsel have endorsed Steve’s “attention to detail and meticulous manner in which he prepares his cases…”, that he shows “…a passion for his clients that is second to none” and that “nothing is ever too much trouble for him”.
Over the years, Steve has acted in countless murder cases as well as those accused of offences ranging from the importation of drugs on an industrial scale and armed robbery, to multi-million pound fraud investigations involving City financial institutions. As well as prosecutions brought by The Crown Prosecution Service, he also has vast experience in cases brought by the Serious Fraud Office, HMRC and the Health & Safety Executive. Since joining CWD, Steve has also represented a number of clients who have been subject of investigations carried out by Ofsted.

Away from the office, Steve is married with a grown up daughter, all of whom are ardent fans of Chelsea FC. When not behind the goal in the Matthew Harding End, he can be found at his beloved rugby club telling all of the younger players greatly exaggerated stories of past glories on the pitch.
