Sport Disputes

Sports law is a growing and dynamic local and international field of law impacting on players, clubs and sporting federations alike.

The Department is headed by Peter Coyle who has acted for a number of sports stars in contractual wrangles with their sporting clubs/employers. In this niche field of contract law, Peter has litigated disputes in the High Court in London but also before various disciplinary committees and tribunals operated by sporting federations, including the Football League, the International Judo Association and the Federation Internationale de L'Automobile.

Both Peter Coyle and David Sheahan are regular contributors as leading sports law experts to Talk Sport and to Radio 5 Live.
