Simon Terry

Solicitor

Simon is as passionate about the law now as he was when he qualified over 20 years ago. His career started in the Commercial Litigation department of one of the larger firms in the City of London where he was involved in a number of high value claims. Since then he has gained valuable experience in private practice and in-house where he held roles including Legal Director and Company Secretary for a large, well-known retailer. Simon therefore appreciates the challenges faced by a large, fast-paced organisations and the need for swift and decisive advice.

Simon’s experience allows him to cover a range of legal disciplines but the main focus of his practice is Dispute Resolution. Managing a varied caseload including defamation, intellectual property, professional negligence, employment and contractual disputes, Simon always seeks a swift and amicable solution (where possible) but is equally at home obtaining/defending emergency injunctions in order to protect his clients’ interests in matters such as Civil Fraud and Employment proceedings. Simon also undertakes commercial and corporate work for some of his clients and advises on commercial contracts, intellectual property licences and brand/reputation management issues. Simon’s clients include entrepreneurs and FTSE 250 multi-nationals (and everything in between) in locations from New York to Newcastle.

Away from the office, Simon enjoys a number of pastimes including cycling, golf and music.
